Giving Back to the Community Committee

Thank you one and all for a great first year. Thanks to the Committee members and with the support of our Chapter members, the CGB Committee raised approximately $2000 through its participation in the Komen Race for the Cure, donated a van full of clothing for Work First women entering the workplace, donated 30 boxes of cereals, snacks and juices to Womanspace, and lastly raised over $100 for our scholarship fund through a re-gifting silent auction. BRAVO!

Our next year's projects will follow in a similar vein. In October, we will organize another NJAWBO-Mercer Chapter Team to walk in the Race for the Cure. In November, we will continue our tradition of a clothing drive for men and women's clothing for Work First. We hope to do another silent auction and have a fund raiser event. And lastly, in the Spring, watch for another drive for the Food Pantry of Womanspace.
