President's Message

Mercer Chapter had a successful chapter planning meeting at the end of June. We established a calendar for the upcoming programming year and the board and committees are currently working to construct the programs. The planning process is ongoing. Let me, or other board members know, if you have ideas to make our experience as members of NJAWBO Mercer a better one.

Although we have many "seasoned" board members this year; in June 2005 we will need more members to step in. If you are new to Mercer chapter, use this year to get acquainted with our programs and find a "comfortable spot" for yourself on one of Mercer Chapter’s committees.

Think about getting involved in some of these areas:

• Help out with meeting registration, our membership committee or awards
• Host an open house or a book club event
• Facilitate a Marketing Roundtable
• Sponsor a meeting
• Work on the State Conference Planning committee

However, there is one "tried and true" way to increase your return on your investment in NJAWBO (that does not require committee work) - be present at as many of our local and state level events as your schedule allows.
