• NJAWBO Mercer VP Marketing Josephine Giaimo was honored on June 19th, 2003, in Trenton, at graduation ceremonies of the Entrepreneurial Training Institute, with Governor James E. McGreevey and others in attendance. Ms. Giaimo, one of more than 60 graduates from this spring's ETI program, is the first female student to graduate from the ETI's high-tech business track this year, and the second female high-tech graduate in the history of the ETI program, which has graduated more than 700 students. The Spring 2003 high-tech program was held at DeVry Institute in North Brunswick, with the other 9 sites offering general business and non-profit intensive training at various locations throughout New Jersey. The ETI program builds entrepreneurship through training and financial support, and is offered through the New Jersey Development Authority. The program includes an 18-month follow-up period, during which graduates are paired with mentors who continue to coach them. In addition to the awarding of certificates to graduates, there was an opportunity to meet the new entrepreneurs and learn about their businesses. Displays of businesses, products, and services were presented. Ms. Giaimo's company celebrates its 5-year anniversary this month. Her firm, MorphIT, Inc., is a high-tech firm that provides Web site diagnostic check-ups that dramatically increase sales, traffic, productivity, and customer satisfaction for large and small businesses.
