Topic: "Seven Secrets of Successful Women" by Donna Brooks and Lynn Brooks

It’s time to start a new book! The NJAWBO business book club is a great way to get your mind in shape for business. A lively group of NJAWBO Mercer women meets 4 times a year to discuss a business book over lunch – we welcome new members with opinions! Please join us at the next meeting on July 30th, where we will discuss “Seven Secrets of Successful Women,” by Donna L. Brooks and Lynn M. Brooks.

At last month’s meeting, we reviewed Gallup’s newest book, “Discover Your Sales Strengths,” by Benson Smith and Tony Rutigliano. Because the book comes with an individualized code that allowed each of us to take Gallup’s StrengthFinder profile on the Internet, we enjoyed comparing our sales profiles. Members felt that understanding their own unique talents will help them tailor their sales presentations and selling style to their personal strengths. Most felt this would help them gain a competitive advantage by having a positive impact on the way they approach potential customers.

The next meeting will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on July 30th at the home of Kim Rowe in Belle Mead, NJ. There is no cost for the meeting, but please bring a brown bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be supplied. We will also be compiling a list of books for upcoming book club selections, so please bring any suggestions to the meeting or e-mail them to Kim.
