Symposium on Women in Business in the New Economy

The Symposium on Women in Business in the New Economy is organized by Prosperity New Jersey in partnership with Congressman Rush Holt and the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners. Space is limited. RSVP by October 20 to participate. For more information, call (609) 984-4924 or click here (http://prosperitynj.com/women.shtml).

Women business owners and entrepreneurs represent a segment of New Jersey's diversified and sophisticated economy that is growing significantly. The challenges they face are unique. For the woman business-owner, networking, finding assistance, building a customer-base, managing the demands of running a business while at the same time looking after their home and family, are some of the main challenges. For the emerging woman entrepreneur, translating an idea, preparing a business plan, securing financial assistance and setting up their space are just some of the hurdles.

Prosperity New Jersey's Symposium on Women in Business in the New Economy (October 27) is a dynamic conversation between ten notable New Jersey women from business, government and community who will share a wealth of experience and perspective on empowering women business owners and entrepreneurs to succeed in the 21st century economy.

The core of the program is a two-hour panel discussion moderated by Kent Manahan, the Emmy Award-winning Senior Anchor of NJN News. The dialogue is intended to benefit women in business and women thinking of starting their own business. In addition, the keynote speakers are Suzanne C. Pease, President of the National Association of Women Business owners and Governor James E. McGreevey.
