Trenton Small Business Week Recap
Amanda Puppo, President of MarketReach said that she enjoyed being both an attendee and a workshop presenter. She had a successful turnout at her "Expand Your Business Through Telephone Marketing" and already picked up some new clients because of it. As an attendee of several of the programs, she said, "TSBW has not yet disappointed me in the 2 years I've gone. There's always some new nuggets of information to pick up to help any small business. Plus, I met many new people in the business community I had never met before, so that in itself was reason for showing up!"
Sarah Miller, President of Set Now Solutions found Trenton Small Business Week to be a wonderful opportunity to network with fellow Mercer Chamber Members and business owners. Her seminar, "Grow Your Business Using the Internet: Creating an E-Business Plan" was extremely successful and attendees were pleased with the value and relevance of the information provided. She was similarly grateful for the knowledge and ideas that she picked up from other programs. "Trenton Small Business Week keeps getting bigger and better. The contacts I have made and the information I have acquired have allowed me to successfully grow my business to meet the changing demands of the business world."
Lynn B. McDougall, Esquire expressed that "interest in small business is alive and well in Mercer County! Both last year and this year, I have
gotten new business from Trenton Small Business Week." Many owners of prospective new ventures gathered on October 1st at The Urban Word for a
Trenton Small Business Week presentation of Creating a Legal Structure for
Your Business presented by Lynn B. McDougall, Esquire. Attendees eager to
put their plans in motion learned the various aspects of limited liability
companies, corporations (C and S), partnerships (general and limited) and
sole proprietorships. Included in the discussion were highlights of the
documentation for these business entities and their importance to
accomplishing desired goals. Issues of formation, management, liability
and taxation of each structure were summarized and inspired an active
question-and-answer exchange which continued an hour after the workshop
ended. For more information contact Lynn at (609)895-3344.
