Topic: Exit Strategies for the Accidental CEO
Many small business owners went into business without a formal business plan or a carefully conceived exit strategy. Small service businesses may not know how to build business equity. Elizabeth Gaines of Colony Crossing Business Brokerage & Consulting Services will discuss (1) how to sell your small business, (2) factors that increase the market value of your business,
(3) special challenges for small service-based businesses, and (4) top ten strategies for building business equity. Join us for this interactive
workshop.
Facilitator: Elizabeth draws on more than 15 years of experience as a business
consultant. She has worked with clients in finance, manufacturing,
healthcare, information technology, and the service sector. In addition to
her years of experience as an advisor to the pharmaceutical industry,
Elizabeth has worked with the venerable NYC advertising agency, Foote, Cone
& Belding. She frequently meets small business owners who are at a loss when
it comes to planning their exit strategy. Her mission is to help more people
plan for the day when they can sell their business and retire rich!

Topic: How to Actually Do Partnership Selling
Facilitator: Terry Adams, president of Adams Consulting Group, is coming back to tell us how to actually develop strategic partnerships which enable your business to grow without increasing staff.
She’s already convinced us that we should do it. Now learn how to (1) identify the type of partnerships to pursue (2) define the characteristics you want in a partner (3) set expectations and parameters from which to operate a partnership and (4) create a win/win with the terms of your agreement.
Terry will give you the opportunity to create a solid game plan for making a partnership viable.
