President's Message

This year has been a challenging one for our economy, citizens, and entire country. America's foundation has been shaken, but by no means destroyed. We have experienced "PURE EVIL" and survived! This year has been very challenging for our local economy. Many businesses have been hit hard, yet we continue to persevere by working hard and continue to strive for the American Dream. Let us never forget, let us never get too comfortable and secure, and most of all, let us never become a divided as a country -- for that would give the Evil Doers A Final Victory!!!

Please join the Mercer chapter of NJAWBO this June 11th to celebrate the end of another successful year. I am very excited about this meeting for numerous reasons, the first being our brilliant guest speaker, George Taber of business News NJ. The second reason for my excitement is our location. After many months of searching, we have come across what I hope to be the answer to our prayers, The Merrill Lynch Conference and Training Center. This incredible facility is located three Lights off of Scudders Mill Road in a beautiful park-like setting with all the amenities any Wall Street Firm would offer. Last but not least, we will be giving out our awards at the meeting. Thanks to Linda Gardner and all of her hard work, we will be giving out some new awards this year. Please make every attempt to make this meeting; I need everyone's input on the location, as all of you need to know what the current trends in Mercer County are. Our award recipients deserve your attendance. You never know, you could be receiving one of our awards!

Another event that I feel is extremely beneficial is our Marketing Roundtable. The benefits of attendance far exceed the price of our membership many times over. Arlene has done a fabulous job with these meetings. With commitment from more members, the group will soon be able to reach the next level. In order for us to bring in outside Marketing Professionals, we must have at least 10 people at every meeting. Consider this opportunity and email Arlene or myself if you are interested in attending this wonderful event. We have some businesses that are willing to sponsor a speaker, however I need to be sure we will have the appropriate attendance before we invite an outside professional to address our group.

This has been a year of change for many of us. Change can be difficult, but it can also open many new doors. Please try to attend this meeting. I thank you for all your support this year.
