Member Good News
Mette Pedersen, who joined the Mercer Chapter of NJAWBO in September 2005,
received 3rd place in the 2005 SEED Grant business plan competition. Mette
received the third-place SEED Grant to start up her cross-cultural training
and translations business MOSAIK. Mette sees MOSAIK as a strong reflection
of her own cross-cultural and linguistic background. Mette grew up in
Denmark, studied 8 languages (including English, which is her second
language), and came to the United States in 1988 as a Fulbright Exchange
Scholar. She received a Ph.D. in English from Yale University in 1995. She
has previously worked for Educational Testing Service and Princeton
University.
