• Mercer Chapter Donation. Our Chapter sent a $500 donation check on the way to the WBC (as a part of the Scholarship Incentive Program). We received the following letter of appreciation:

  The WBC thanks the Mercer Chapter for their generosity. In addition to assisting in our match requirement, donations such as this help to provide training to burgeoning business owners who might not be financially able to take advantage of the WBC programs that can help to develop a sound foundation for their projects. I personally add my gratitude and the appreciation of the scholarship recipients for the donation.

• Membership Fee Changes. Effective February 1, 2004, NJAWBO renewal (active) membership dues are increasing to $175. NJAWBO new (active) members pay $175 dues plus $25 set up fee.

  NJAWBO OFFERING A ONE-TIME MEMBER BENEFIT TO ALL CURRENT NJAWBO MEMBERS! A discount of $50 for renewing members is available through Jan. 31. Please read the letter from our state president which gives the reasons as well as outlines a SPECIAL DISCOUNT oportunity for ALL MEMBERS. We value each and every NJAWBO membership so please do not hesitate to contact your chapter president, any of the Board of Trustees or the State Office if you have ANY questions regarding the letter.

• June Dinner Meeting Date Changed. Due to the conflict with the NJAWBO State conference (the date was just recently announced)-NJAWBO Mercer Dinner meeting has been rescheduled for June 17th 2004.

• Our Costs Are Rising. As of January, the cost for dinner at our monthly meetings is increasing. Unfortunately, this means we must increase our monthly fees. The fee for the dinner meeting will increase by $3.

  Early registration discount: Members and Guests of members pre-register by Monday at noon prior to dinner meeting -$33
  
  Members and Guests of members registering after Monday at noon prior to meeting -$38
  
  Non Members and Walk-ins: $38

• Help Wanted- Assistant Meeting Planner. If you'd like to help at the desk, meeting and greeting, signing in members for our monthly meeting, the Chapter is looking for an Assistant Meeting Planner.
