Awards Committee
By Karen Hansen, NJAWBO-Mercer Awards Committee
This month’s article features the Business Woman of the
Year Award. This award honors a woman business owner who is
a NJAWBO member and who has distinguished herself in her business,
in NJAWBO, and in her community. Her chapter may nominate her after
she has been a business owner and a NJAWBO member for at least three
years. A member may be nominated more than once, but may receive
this award only once. Nominations should be submitted before February
1, 2005.
Nominees are evaluated on the following criteria:
- History of growth of business
- Expansion or uniqueness of business
- Achievements and contributions
- Career development (seminars, courses, etc.)
- Professional affiliations and offices held
- Awards and honors
Do you know someone who deserves to be Mercer Chapter’s Business
Woman of the Year?
