Recap of November Dinner Meeting
Thursday, November 14th, 2002
Over 60 members of the Mercer and Middlesex County chapters of NJAWBO and
their guests met on Thursday, November 16th, 2002, to hold a combined
monthly dinner meeting. The event was held at the Harrison Conference Center
on the Merrill Lynch corporate campus at 900 Scudders Mill Road in
Plainsboro, New Jersey. The meeting, sponsored by New Cognitive Systems,
Inc., a productivity consulting firm, featured a panel of successful
marketing professionals speaking on "Cutting Edge Marketing" techniques.
Lisa Hines, President and founder of Acadia Marketing and Designs, LLC,
spoke on integrating Web and traditional marketing programs, using creative,
surprising marketing campaigns, and building referral programs. Mark
Pfeffer, President and founder of Tramp Steamer Media, focused on the use of
content and interactive publishing for building specific audiences and as a
tool for retention marketing. Pfeffer also spoke on the use of print and
email media for distributing newsletters and addressed the economics and
trade-offs involved.
This meeting was well attended by both Mercer and Middlesex NJAWBO members
and guests. Attendees enjoyed the special opportunity to network and
exchange business cards during the meeting with members of both chapters at
this event.
