Awards Committee News

Awards Committee
Nominations for the NJAWBO Business Woman of the Year Award were closed
on November 1, 2002. As you may recall, this award is given to a member
of NJAWBO who has distinguished herself in her business, NJAWBO and in
her community. Congratulations to Susanne Rosenblum, CPA, the
NJAWBO-Mercer nominee for Business Woman of the Year!
This month’s Awards Committee News once again spotlights the Woman of
Achievement/Rose and Scroll award, which is given annually by NJAWBO to
a non-NJAWBO member who has been a role model for women, has a record of
assisting women business owners and is nominated by a NJAWBO Chapter.
There are four guidelines for the award.
First, the nominee is rated on her prior business, professional and personal achievements.
Second, she is scored on her specific areas of assistance to women business owners (such as involvement in mentoring and encouragement of new and inexperienced women business owners).
Third, the nominee is judged on her volunteer activities (such as involvement in youth, civic and religious groups, in cultural contributions to her community, in political offices held, or in school and municipal boards, etc.).
Fourth, she is rated on her prior awards and honors.
Written nominations for the Woman of Achievement/Rose and Scroll Award
utilizing these guidelines should be submitted before January 1, 2003.
If you would like to submit a nomination for, or have any questions
concerning, the Woman of Achievement/Rose and Scroll Award, or would
like to volunteer to be a member of the awards committee, please contact
Linda R. Gardner, Esq. at 609-252-9667 or lisse@worldnet.att.net.
