Browser Wars Internet Explorer (IE) 6 market share is currently 30.5 percent. Netscape dropped to slightly over 7 percent after the release of IE6. IE5 holds the number one market share position and IE6 is number-two. (InfoWorld Media Group) Netscape 6.2 was recently released and may pose some competition to the IE browser.
